Advanced Module: People (ZA)
Empowering people and harnessing the potential of groups
We've all been there: the meetings and workshops where the same people always have their say, and the sessions where there's a certain tension in the air that everyone is trying hard to ignore. So how can we create more participation and more collaboration? And how do we deal with tensions or even conflicts?
In this advanced module on the topic of people, we focus on how to consciously involve all participants in a session or workshop so that everyone is actively involved. You will learn how to manage group dynamics, support development within the group and promote effective collaboration and dialog.
We will delve into topics such as conflict resolution and power relations and explore different aspects of learning types and FIRO theory - all with a focus on the people we work with.
Course content:
Participation: How can I create an atmosphere where different personality types can contribute equally?
Group dynamics: How can I help the group work and communicate together?
Conflicts, rank and power: As a facilitator, how can I support the group in resolving a conflict or tension? What invisible processes are taking place?
Course objectives:
You will get to know the FIRO model and the rank and power approach.
You will experience and reflect on a selection of methods that strengthen group dynamics, cooperation and communication.
You will find out what tensions and their resolution feel like in a group and develop strategies to support this process.

Essentials of Facilitation (ZA)
Design and conduct effective workshops
Design and hold more efficient meetings and more productive workshops. Help your team realize their potential and create the results you want. Help people work together, even if they are meeting for the first time.
Would you like to learn ...
How to design a process that leads you and your group effectively and efficiently to the desired results?
How to ensure that all participants are engaged and actively involved so that no ideas and perspectives are lost?
How to help the group work together successfully and utilize their different strengths and personalities?
or how you can finally exploit the potential of collaboration so that much better solutions are found?
In this course, we will look at exactly this, try it out and apply what we have learned to our own specific situations and examples.
Course content:
Using the so-called facilitation grid, we delve into the four dimensions of facilitation:
Process: How do I go about designing a coherent workshop process that brings my group to the goal they have set themselves?
People: How can I involve as many different people as possible in my workshop and utilize their potential?
Space: What influence does the physical environment have and how can I use it constructively?
Facilitator: What kind of facilitator am I and how can I use my individual strengths and talents as a facilitator?
The Essentials course is a one-day basic course in which we gain an overview of the four dimensions. We offer a separate in-depth module for each of the four dimensions in order to deepen this knowledge and deal with it in detail.
Course objectives:
You will learn about basic theoretical approaches to facilitation.
You will design and implement your own session together with other participants and receive feedback.
You will discover your personal facilitation style.
You will get to know strategies and tools that can support you in facilitating a session.
